Nature of the Program
Connection Reset includes live group sessions, weekly reflection prompts, optional assignments, and participation in a Discord group. It is not therapy, counseling, mental health treatment, medical advice, or a substitute for professional care.
Participation and Personal Responsibility
All participation is voluntary. You may choose how much to share and which assignments feel right for you, and agree to seek professional support if you need mental health, medical, or therapeutic care.
Assumption of Risk
You understand that this program involves interacting with people you don't otherwise know, group discussion of personal topics, and social assignments that take place in real life. You voluntarily assume the risks of participation, including any emotional discomfort, and understand that connecting or meeting with other participants outside of scheduled sessions is entirely your own choice and responsibility.
Participant Interactions
Connection Reset does not conduct background checks or screen participants in any way. Connection Reset cannot guarantee the conduct, intentions, or safety of any other participant. Any interactions between participants, including those that take place outside of live sessions, on Discord, or in person, are undertaken at each participant's own discretion and risk. Connection Reset is not responsible for any injury, loss, or harm arising from interactions between participants that occur outside of the scheduled program sessions.
Group Privacy and Confidentiality
Participants agree to treat others with respect and kindness. Personal stories, names, screenshots, posts, messages, or identifying details shared by other participants should not be repeated, copied, recorded, screenshotted, or shared outside the group without permission. While participants are asked to respect privacy and confidentiality, complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in a group setting or on Discord.
Discord Group
The Discord group is used for encouragement, weekly assignments, reflection, and accountability between sessions. Participation is encouraged but not required. Participants agree not to use the group for promotion, solicitation, harassment, or sharing other people's private information.
Privacy & Personal Information
When you register for Connection Reset, you may provide information such as your name, email address, payment information, and responses to a short intake form. Intake form responses may include your goals, what kind of connection you are hoping to build, and where you feel you are starting from. This information is used to administer the program, communicate with you, prepare for the group experience, process payment, and improve the program. Intake form responses are not shared with other participants. Connection Reset does not sell your personal information.
Third-Party Platforms
Connection Reset may use third-party platforms such as Zoom, Discord, Stripe or another payment processor, email, and an intake form tool such as Google Forms. These platforms have their own privacy policies and terms. By participating, you understand that your use of those platforms is also subject to their policies.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed through a third-party payment provider. Connection Reset does not store your full credit card or debit card number.
Payment
The founding cohort fee is $100 and covers the full 4-week program, including four live sessions, weekly assignments, and access to the Discord group during the program period.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Full refund if canceled at least 7 days before the first session.
- 50% refund if canceled less than 7 days before but before the first session begins.
- No refunds after the first session begins.
- Full refund if the program is canceled by the facilitator.
Missed Sessions
There is no partial refund for missed sessions. Sessions are not recorded, to protect group privacy.
No Guarantees
Individual results vary. No specific outcome, relationship, friendship, emotional result, or social change is guaranteed.
Professional Support and Crisis Situations
Connection Reset is not crisis support and is not a substitute for therapy, counseling, medical care, or mental health treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, thoughts of harming yourself or others, or need urgent support, please contact emergency services or a qualified professional.
Program Materials
Any worksheets, prompts, written materials, or resources shared during the program are for personal use only and may not be copied, sold, distributed, or reused without permission.
Program Communications
By registering, you agree to receive emails related to the program, including schedule information, Zoom links, Discord instructions, assignments, reminders, and follow-up information. You may unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time.
Code of Conduct
The facilitator may remove a participant from the program, without refund, for disruptive, disrespectful, harassing, threatening, or privacy-violating behavior.
Age
Participants must be 18 or older.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Connection Reset's total liability arising out of or related to your participation in the program is limited to the amount you paid for the program. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or fraud.
Governing Law & Venue
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from this Agreement or your participation in the program will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
Severability & Entire Agreement
If any part of this Agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. This Agreement, together with any documents it references, is the entire agreement between you and Connection Reset regarding your participation, and supersedes any prior discussions or understandings.
